Negative Acrylic Abstract Workshop 6/11

Trying to explain this workshop is harder than actually participating in it!  The creativity of colours and the stencils used as your background are totally your own free rein.  The style of the finished piece is also down to you as I certainly encourage your own creativity.  

A background is created with small stencils in acrylic paint.  Once dry, you will create in white pencil your own perspective of a vase of flowers or indeed, anything you wish. You will now paint around the shapes you have drawn in white (usually) paint which then makes your drawn items to pop out in an extremely pleasing, satisfying way. You will learn how to build images by painting the spaces around the subject, revealing shapes and depth through layered background colour.

Finished piece will be on a canvas approximately 30cm x 30cm
